Anyone have big plans for Valentine's Day?
DW and I don't do much for Valentine's Day. She doesn't wear jewelry, flowers are $$$ just before VD, as is chocolate. We'll acknowledge it, but that's about it.
Anyone else have any plans?

Re: Anyone have big plans for Valentine's Day?
Not on the day of, but we got a living social deal on a B&B and we're going the last weekend of President's week. Looking for more to do to flesh out the stay since we only have one night at the B&B but want 2 nights and some things to do.
On V-day we will probably either cook or order in (restaurants jack up prices and are crowded) and I said no candy, but hoping for flowers.

Re: Anyone have big plans for Valentine's Day?
I always hope for flowers and I usually get them.
We used to go out to dinner on or around Valentine's Day when we were younger, and then we started to cook fancy dinners for each other instead of going out, but this year we will probably just be lazy- order in and watch a movie together. I think I'm going to make him watch the notebook with me!!

I give my kids a small box of chocolates and an under $5 toy. DH gets me a card and flowers. I will make a nice dinner for the family. I got DH a card and new pj pants.

Re: Anyone have big plans for Valentine's Day?
Dh is working on V day night- as per usual
We never go out to eat that night anyway- too crowded and overpriced
He will usually send me flowers at work and buy me some big ass box of chocolate!
We aren't big into it- he says it's a Hallmark holiday and I tend to agree
We do acknowledge it though...nothing huge though

Re: Anyone have big plans for Valentine's Day?
Our tradition is to celebrate with our best friends and go out to dinner. We're going the weekend before to Besito this year. We always have a blast. DH and I don't normally exchange gifts, but we do give cards.

Re: Anyone have big plans for Valentine's Day?
We are going to AC on Saturday the 11th. We got a $23 room at Harrahs (it pays to get a comp card!!) and free tickets to a comedy show at Borgata (another bene from having a comp card!)
Actual VDay we will probably just have dinner at home.

DH and I don't make a big deal over Valentine's day. We'll probably exchange cards, maybe small gifts, but to us, our anniversary is way more special and important than Valentine's day.

Re: Anyone have big plans for Valentine's Day?
We will be celebrating our 2 year anniversary on valentine's day! Since our DS was born, the only time we went out "on a date" was to the few weddings that we were invited to. So we will be going out on a date together to a nice restaurant, just haven't picked the place yet! We also may go out together on Sat. Feb. 12th to celebrate as well.

Re: Anyone have big plans for Valentine's Day?
I've never been big into valentines day.. Silly holiday
Last year was our first, n my boyfriend did give me a nice ring while we were out to dinner at our local sushi place
This year we have a gift card to the same place that we saved from Xmas.. But no gifts
Although I do tease him that he's buying me a house for a present, bc we should be closing right around then lol

Re: Anyone have big plans for Valentine's Day?
We like to go out to dinner that Saturday weekend night (Vday isn't super popular here, so it will be like a normal Saturday night).
I also am hoping DH gets me Pierre Marcolini chocolates (puts Gadiva to shame) that we tried when we were in Belgium.
We aren't doing anything on the actual day of. I might make a nice dinner, but I'm not sure of my work schedule.

Nope. My big plans include buying a box of Godiva Truffles for DH and I to split and then hanging out on the couch and watching a movie.

Re: Anyone have big plans for Valentine's Day?
We don't make a big deal about V-day. Everything about that day is way too expensive.
We have dinner at home. DH favorite then we have my favorite dessert. Maybe exchange a card. Nothing huge or over the top. To us it's just another day in Feb.

Re: Anyone have big plans for Valentine's Day?
We keep it simple. Same as we do for our Anniversary.
It bugs us that anyone should profit off of our feelings for each other.
I like to make a special dinner. Often we will watch a movie we watched a lot when we started dating, or our wedding video.
We rarely do cards, never do flowers.
We'll get a card and a little candy for DD and DH will probably bring home a flower for her but that's it.

Nope.
Never really have. I don't see the big thing of Valentines Day. It's a holiday for the confectioner's industry. Hence, I am busy as hell at work

Re: Anyone have big plans for Valentine's Day?
I want to take DD out to eat, someplace fun like Cheeburger Cheeburger. We will probably get her a little gift.
Eventually, we will go out to celebrate on a random night in February when its not too crazy.
I always get flowers and we exchange cards.

Re: Anyone have big plans for Valentine's Day?
We are going low key this year, saving money for WDW and DL. Only doing cards (I am ok w/o one but DH wants to) and we are going to family friendly restaurant w/DS and using a gift card. I am not a flower person so I never get flowers. We usually exchange a small gift and go someplace romantic.
