Anyone have DC's first birthday at a "hall"
I mean a place where you could bring your own food?
As DS's 1st b-day approaches, I'm getting nervous about having so many people at the house and I'm thinking maybe a k of c would be better....

Re: Anyone have DC's first birthday at a "hall"
We've been to both. I had DS's 1st b-day party at my parent's house b/c it's big with a big backyard.
I've been to friend's kids b-day party at a hall as well. You can't go wrong with either. Most home parties pple are standing around and everyone manages to fit in.
IF you feel it's too small then go to a hall.

Yes we had DS #1's 1st birthday at a VFW in Sayville. It was April and there were too many people to fit in my house and too cold to have it outside.

Re: Anyone have DC's first birthday at a "hall"
If we end up having a full on party it'll be in our civic association pavilion. Not a beautiful building, but it's looking like we'd have at least 80 people and there is no way I can fit much more then 15 at my house.

Re: Anyone have DC's first birthday at a "hall"
We are having DS's birthday at a room we rented in Stony Brook. 75 people are invited, too many for my house and didn't want to attempt outside since its October which could be iffy.

Re: Anyone have DC's first birthday at a "hall"
we are having DS's 1st birthday at a hall in October. There is no way I was having 100 people at my house! We are bringing in our own food and the hall provides the drinks.
