Anyone have Emblem Health EPO insurance plan?
Was wondering if anyone had any feedback on Emblem Health EPO $0 copay, high deductible insurance plan?
It's an in-network only, but they seem to have a good network of doctors.
Also, they don't require referrals to specialists--which is really nice.
My employer would be picking up the full cost of the deductible. (It's still cheaper for them to do that than to keep people on the current plan).
It all just sounds a little too good to be true, which is making me nervous.
I'd appreciate any feedback on this plan or Emblem Health in general. (Just off the top of my head...any extra charges, denying claims, difficulties allowing ongoing treatment?)
Thank you!
ETA: I have to decide whether to stay on my current Oxford Liberty HMO plan ($20 co-pay) or switch to the Emblem plan.

I have this exact plan. My deductible is 2500, which my employer pays as well. This is the BEST insurance i have ever had. Almost every doctor takes the insurance and not having to get a referral is great. I highly recommend it!

Re: Anyone have Emblem Health EPO insurance plan?
I have it!! We have a deductible of $5950 and a HSA account that this year my employer is putting in the money for. Next year, who knows if they'll put the money in, or if we will have to. But the HSA plan, if you decide not to use that money in the account to pay bills, that money is yours, basically a glorified savings/ira account that you can take money out of once you are retired.
I like it because there is no copay, and I get a bill for whatever the insurance didn't cover and pay out of the hsa account. I've had it during this pregnancy with no issues!
I've had no problems seeing any doctors, and my prescriptions have actually been costing me less than what it was on our old insurance. Once the deductible is met, the insurance covers 100% of the medical bills.
We were suspicious of this plan as well, but so far I like it a lot!

Re: Anyone have Emblem Health EPO insurance plan?
We just switched to it May 1st. We have the InBalanace EPO.
I have no experience at all, but I am not liking the website. I want to see if my doc and my kids pedi take the insurance and it's not giving me any docs when I search!
It's good to hear some positive feedback though!
