anyone have fun ways to announce
pregnancy to family and friends? we told my mom already and we are planning on telling his family today... any suggestions? TIA!

DH got some 'presents' for his family. For his mom it was a plaque that said 'Grandma's kitchen' and he brought it to her house. He found other things like that for his dad and sister.

great minds think alike...thats what we did for my mom, but DH's mom is already a grandma so i'm afraid she will just think its for her other grandchild...

I didn't do anything super creative when telling our family but this is what we did.
My little niece is 5 years old and a real ham - we are attached at the hip too. We were upstairs in her room and I told her that I had a secret and that I wanted her to tell everyone for me when her dad gets back from getting dinner. So I tell her "I have a baby in my belly" - she looks at me and goes "For real? " - I said "For real - but wait for daddy to get home" ---- she then starts running full speed down the stairs screaming to my entire family
"Didi's having a baby!!! Didi's having a baby" --- they all stop talking and look at her and she screams again "Did you hear me - Didi's having a baby"

We framed one of our first sonograms and wrote on the matting inside the frame, "Our First Grandchild - Due October 20, 2007" and gave it to my parents all wrapped up.

We actually did it on the day we went back to the Catholic Church to be married in the Church......
We took everyone to Tellers for dinner afterwards.. and we made menus...... and in the background, very faint pink and blue it said "And Baby Makes Three, July 24th, 2007"... like a watermark over and over again in tiny font...... then we waited to see who would see it first!!!!
It was fun and best of all is it was DH's idea!!!!!! He is too good.....
