Anyone have GHI and get hit with a big hospital bill??
My DH is starting to ask questions, he's a little nervous about this part. Just thought I would ask. I saw someone had Oxford and didn't so I'm hoping GHI will be the same!

You should call GHI and ask them what your responsibility is. Even within insurance companies it varies from plan to plan.
For example, we've been on United Healthcare through my husband's company since Feb 2005. On that plan we needed to pay $20 copay for both sick and well baby visits to the ped. In Jan 2007 they changed plans, still with United Healthcare, and now we only pay $20 copay for sick baby visits, all well baby visits are covered.

Question everything before you pay anything. My ins. co. didn't cover a few things initially but after a few pesty phone calls everything wound up being covered.
