Anyone have pics of them wearing a strapless dress but with a shawl?
i see so many cute straless dresses but dont feel like my upper body/arms and chest look right..i was tihnking maybe of wearing a shawl..it is for a wedding..but not sure how i could go about wearing a shawl all nite...is it practical?

my friend did this at my wedding and to be honest it made it her look MUCH bigger then she actually was. Every picture of her is huge and while she is a big girl, she is not THAT big.
I recommend finding the right dress and just skipping the shawl.
At one point I pulled her shawl off while she was dancing, and I can't tell you how many people told me after that, that they didn't realize how bad the shawl made her look till I took it off.

wow thats verrry interesting, ty for the info. I am a size 6 but dont have the arms to pull off strapless so i was thinking that might work--but maybe ill just find one with a cute cap sleeve or something

I personally think a shwal looks dowdy - what about a cute cropped jacket (if the dress will accomodate it)

I have the same issue, Im a bridemaid in my BFFs wedding next weekend. I bought a nice cashmere...on sale...tiny cardigan sweater to go over my dress. I looks good togther, I even asked a man's opinions who was honest and he said it looked good.
I didn't want to wear a shawl all nite because it would get annoying.
In my other BFFs wedding last year all the bridesmaids got cute matching cropped sweaters from NY& co. to go with the dress.

Thats exactly what im wearing...black :) I got my tiny cardigan at Daffy's for like 20 bucks...and cashmere is oh so soft!
