Anyone have "spirits" in your house?

As crazy as this sounds...my daughter has been talking about ghosts in her bedroom at night for some time now. She's 4 years old and she says they are young boys that play ball and try to wake her up to play at night. She hears them say "it's wake up time" and "seven" over and over...
We found out from neighbors recently that 2 sons died in the house years ago tragically (I know!)
I had our house blessed by a priest but it didn't seem to make them leave. Help...I'm ready to sell but DH doesn't want to. What can we do..I hate that my daughter is dealing with this. Any advice welcome.

Wow. I have chills reading your post. My first reaction is I would move. I know that's easier said than done.

I have had some experiences with spirits- in a historical home my friends lived in. Let's just say I could never live there. And in my own home, I believe my grandmother's spirit has visited me. But that is different. I asked her not to do it again because it did scare me, and nothing has happened since.

Could you try telling your DD to ask the boys to leave or leave her alone? They don't sound malicious, just lonely. Or I have heard of having the house saged.

This is why I researched the sh$t out of the home we are buying because this kind of stuff really freaks me out!

My first reaction is MOVE, but again that's easier said then done.

Could you move your daughter to another bedroom? There are people out there that come in and do some type of ghost removal as crazy as that sounds (not a priest). I know they have a specific name, but can't recall what it is. One of my law school professors was one and I always said I'll keep that info in the back of mind if I ever needed her services.

I know, easier said than done, but personally I would move. This would creep me out too much.

Does she say how often it occurs? I would assume they arent malicious but I still wouldn't be comfortable with it.

Can you try talking to the spirits? Try to explain that they are scaring your daughter (if that is the case).

Also, is your daughter scared? Do you think the spirits are harmful?

I'm a strong believer that spirits are just people continuing their journey and that interaction with them can happen.

Are you open to looking into a medium who can potentially help the spirits to cross over?

I see you posted not to long ago about your lil one suffering from anxiety. Maybe these spirits are causing it. This sounds scary for everyone. I know they arent hurting her but just reading your post is giving me anxiety. I cant imagine how a 4 year old can deal. I say move but IF you can. Im so sorry.

Awwww, your poor girl!! Like PP's have mentioned, I would sage her room - maybe the whole house and talk to them. Let them know that they don't belong there anymore, and to follow or go to the light.

I wonder why they keep saying "7"? Were they 7 when they died?
Anyway, I get it, I believe it, and I feel sorry for your girl.

That would freak me out. Your poor baby. And those poor boys, how sad they can't move onto an afterlife. Can you try politely asking them to leave? Maybe they don't realize they're scaring her? I agree they don't sound malicious, but I still wouldn't want it in my house.

It is so unsettling and trust me I am about ready to move. It isn't easy though as my older child is in elem school. My husband has spoken to them and told them they're scaring my daughter. It didn't make them go away. The only thing that worked was when my husband put a special pillow at the end of her bed and said to them not to bother her when that pillow is out. I couldn't believe it, but that works.
It doesn't solve the problem permanently though ?? They are no malicious at all but my daughter doesn't like it and they 'bother' her and she's frightened at night. My husband wants to bring in a medium but I'm afraid of opening up a pandora a box, so to speak...I also do t want to be scammed, as they charge up to $100-200. I am going to try the safe, as someone has suggested. That is worth a try!
I am only contemplating moving because my daughter is not content there. I have seen the lights flicker and toys make noise, but it doesn't really bother me.

Yes, I thought she had anxiety as she was terrified in my house. I had her evaluated and taken to a psychologist. That is when she opened up about spirits. The therapist doesn't sliver she has anxiety...I still send her to speak to her because I do believe it helps.

I think you really should try to find out the significance of "7/seven". Maybe the neighbor can shed some light on it. I feel like the boys are trying to be validated. And maybe then, you can talk to them again and bring whatever "7/seven" means into the conversation. Perhaps that will help them crossover.
And I know it sounds crazy, buy it's really not.

i believe SO's father is still in the house we live in... but this is nothing compared to what these boys are doing to your little girl.

How long have you lived there? There may be a reason why they are there. We had spirits in our house when we first moved in I truly believed this. It was an older couple who lived here (original owners of the house) I still do not know if the lady or man passed away in the home. Every bedroom door had a shadow of a cross that used to hang. when we moved in there was a Jesus figurine on the window ledge in the kitchen I felt it just had to stay there. I never moved it we still have it there. I would see shadows moving past me in the night, weird things would happen like changes music on my iTunes without me doing it. It was freaky. Then one day our dryer caught on fire. Everything was fine with the house and the family. No one hurt, no damage to home. Behind the wall that burned was something we never would have found to this day. We never heard from the spirits after that but I believe they are around and initially wanted to make sure we were good people in their home lol. just my personal opinion

Get a medium in there. Start doing your research to find a good one. They won't leave on their own

My first thoughts would be to move as well. I do like hearing stories like this that aren't "bad" spirits, but I know I couldn't live with it either. I agree with trying to figure out more info from the neighbors. Like the significance of 7. I'm curious did your neighbors say how they died?

My sister woke up one time to my niece having a conversation with nobody one time and when my sister asked who she was talking to she said a little girl,we are playing

I don't think moving would help. There are spirits everywhere and if your daughter has the ability to see them then she will. Ask the spirits to not wake her up, and tell them it's okay to go into the white light. Ask a medium for help too. I don't know if he can help you but I like chris allan. She and you can also ask God to not let her have this 'gift' but that's no garantee. But I know kids generally can see spirit but then " outgtow" it

Try cleansing your house with sage- look up how to smudge the house. Spirits can more in and out of our space so if you dd sees them she will see them where ever you move.

Yes in my daughter's room and only recently have I noticed it. There is a framed picture of my grandmother in her room so it could be her. I recently bought sage and sprayed it in her room. I plan on seeing a medium soon to see if there is more information. My daughter is 3 and doesn't seem afraid and doesn't talk about it. Maybe it's just in my mind.

I believe my DS sees spirits - my DH does as well. I know my grandmother, uncle, and DH's late father have all visited. My DH has a spiel he says when they come and bother DS, and they generally go away. We keep holy water above his bedroom door as well. Nothing malicious has ever happened, but lots of strange noises/occurrences. It's not enough to make me leave.

I would consult with a medium. And like PP said, do some research. Spirits don't typically leave on their own, or easily at that. I wish you lots of luck in trying to figure this out, but know you are not alone and I hope they don't become violent spirits.
