Re: anyone have the peg perego infant car seat
I had it and at 4 months I had to put Athan into a convertible car seat because he was squished in the Peg. The only thing you can adjust is moving the straps either lower or higher. That middle piece that they sit in does not come out.

the straps lower or higher I can move with that button in the back, right?? How big was Athan at four months... Chelsea has her 3 month visit next week, but a month ago she was 12.3 lbs and 24inches, and I'm positive she grew a lot again this month..I'm soooo angry, how can they say 30lbs or 30inches, she's already squished!!!!

Same here. My DD was out of the seat at about 5 months. Its so annoying because the seat us supposedly able to hold babies up to 30 pounds.

Re: anyone have the peg perego infant car seat
my son was out of the seat young as well....and I just put Chase in the seat again yesterday and he looked huge.
I had been using the old peg perego seat, because the new one sits up so much, and I get nervous with his head hanging...its so much worse on the side seat then in the middle.

Yup - button on back to slide the straps up or down.
At his 4 month visit he was 17 and 1/2 pounds and 26 and 1/2 inches long. And he was squished in there so tight... poor kid. We got the Evenflo Triumph and he is a new man in that massive throne!

Re: anyone have the peg perego infant car seat
DS was in it until almost 9 months and DD until she was 7.5. DS was 14lbs, 24.75inches at 3 months and 21lbs, 28.75 inches at 9 months. DD was 25inches and 13lbs at 3 months and then 17lbs, 27.75inches at 7 months and they never seemed uncomfortable in it. You just might need to adjust the straps in it.

UGH, we have our 3 mos visit next week...honestly, it's one of the most expensive seats and to get so little use out it makes me so angry, what about taking the cushioning on the butt out, I know you can't take the middle and head piece out but maybe the butt piece???? I just adjusted the straps it looks a little better...

My DS just turned 5 months and so done with this seat. I've been trying to hold him off for the nicer weather.

You can def take out the butt piece... although IMO it just makes the place they are sitting that much harder. I was/am really pizzed about that seat because it was very expensive and the 30 pound/30 inches claim is such a bunch of BS. Apparently the older seats were also more comfortable and fit babies in longer..from what I hear the issue is with the 30/30 because of the SIP.

Yeah taking theb utt piece out helps a bit as does manipulating the straps a little. It's that ear flap section that takes up a lot of room and you can't move those things out.
