Anyone have to do the 3 hr glucose test first, and skip the 1 hr test?

My dad became an adult onset diabetic.I think b/c of this I have to do the 3 hr test and don't have to do the one hr test.

Has anyone been in this position or ever heard of this?

my sister did
after her 1st pregnancy, when she failed the 1 hour she basically told the dr. that she would just skip it and not waste the time
so for her 2nd and 3rd pregnancies she only did the 3hr

I did when I was preggo last yr with my DS. My 2 sister are insulin dependent and my dad was a food controlled diabetic. My dr. had me go right for the 3 hour test b/c of family history.

Since I passed it with flying colors last pregnancy we have decided to just do the 1 hr one first this time and pray I pass. I didn't do well with the 3 hr one. I felt sick and was very shaky.
