Question: First Response Ovulation Test
Hi there,
I have a question. I just bought the First Response Ovulation Test and I was wondering if anyone on here uses it and how you have liked it. I was reading a lot about them on the Internet and this one seemed to have good reviews.
thanks.

Re: Question: First Response Ovulation Test
I use this one too. The first month I used it, I had a hard time determining when I ovulated, then the second month it was VERY clear, the test line was much darker then the control line, I guess I never ovulated the first month thats why the line never got darker than the control line. I will be starting my 3rd month using it tommorrow, so we will see....

Re: Question: First Response Ovulation Test
i used it my first month and liked it
BUT i heard that it has a tendency to predict ovulation too early...
I used Clear Blue last month and hated it
So i am going to try a new brand

Re: Question: First Response Ovulation Test
I used it the first time this morning. No surge, but I did see how the line is lighter than the control line.
I am suppose to ovulate this week, so I am curious as to what it will look like....I guess I will find out!
Thanks!

Re: Question: First Response Ovulation Test
I used the ClearBlueEasy digital tests. It gives you a smiley face for when you are ovulating. I didn't have luck with the First Response. I really couldn't tell much of a differences in lines. The CBE is the day kit and is more expensive but when you are serious about TTC, you will like it better. You already know how well it worked for me.

Re: Question: First Response Ovulation Test
Thanks! I did see a difference in the lines this morning. One was definatley lighter than the other. Every fertility calculator online tells me that I should ovulate on the 20th, which is Friday, so hopefully I will see a difference then.
I know that I do ovulate because I had two sonograms this year (for pain I was having) and the DR showed me both times which ovary I ovulated from. So we shall see!
Thanks!

Re: Question: First Response Ovulation Test
I used it this month and it told me exactly when I should ovulate. I thought it worked great

I would also like to know how you knew it was exact. I did my second one this morning and the test line was still a lot fainter than the control line.

Re: Question: First Response Ovulation Test
I used Clearblue last month. It worked for me.
I saw a very faint line vs. the reference line on day 8-11 (wondering if it was working!). Then on day 12, it was very clear. The line was darker than the reference line.
I don't know "exactly" when I ovulated. I ready it is usually 12 to 36 hours after the surge.

that is the thing
and that is what worries me about this test
A good friend told me that when SHE used the test it was actually INACCURATE...
so i am NOT using them again
