Poor Patrick Swayze!
Pancreatic cancer is NO joke though--- it only has a 4% survival rate. my uncle was diagnosed and was dead in 6 weeks.
to Patrick!

i heard on the radio that he's responding to the treatment and should recover
Honestly, almost No one "recovers" from Pancreatic cancer. Doesn't matter if 1 article is more 'optomistic' than another- the prognosis for pancreatic cancer is horrible, and no matter how you change around the words, it $ucks. It is the most aggresive form of cancer

FYI...most people don't recover from this. My aunt is struggling with this right now.

Re: anyone hear this about Patrick Swayze
My heart goes out to him & his family. This is such an agressive cancer & reading in between the lines..they never mentioned surgery, just treatment. Leads me to believe the cancer is located on/in the "head" of the pancreas.. a death sentance.
But I still for him and a miracle. Unfortunetly, this type of cancer has no rhyme or reason and even with the best care and all the money in the world it doesn't really equal a recovery.
I just saw this story on the Today show and cried the whole time. I went upstairs and woke up my 15 month old DD and just cuddled her & thanked God. I was diagnosed & operated on at the age of 24..my tumor was located on the body & tail of the pancreas, spleen and extended onto liver and treated.
It has been 10 & a half years.
