Anyone here have mild PCOS and were told to stop taking Metformin right after BFP?
I got my BFP at my PCPs office last week (was there to get a refill) and she told me to stop my reflux meds and Metformin right away.
I'm 5 or 6 weeks now and my 1st OB appt is on Monday.
Of course I'm panicking now because everything that I read online says that you should continue taking the Metformin for the 1st trimester!
Was anyone else told to stop taking it and went on to have a healthy pregnancy?

That's what I'm thinking. My PCP said I didn't need it because I just had it to make my cycles regular. I've only been off it for 5 days. I left a message for my OB, but she isn't in till the morning. I'm on a low dose (500) so I just took one now in case.

I took it with dd1. I was told not to stop until after we heard the heartbeat at least twice. I think I stopped around 6/8 weeks.

I was kept on it for both pregnancies and now the 3rd. I was told it was more of a risk for me to come off of it.

I would keep taking it until U see a high risk doc or perinatologist to ask them. They know more then a pco
