Anyone here take spin clss?
I took it once two weeks ago and couldnt last in the class fo rmore than 30 minutes. My head was pounding.
How do you get used to it? does it take only a couple of times?

Spin is tough..you probably need to pace yourself a little better. Don't put the resistance on as high as the instructor tells you to. Go with what feels comfortable to you...knowing you have X amount of time left in the class. This helped me a lot...and after a while I was able to work harder and harder.
FYI...I am in decent shape and can't work through the resistance that the instructor says we should be at so always have to modify it to my capabilities.

Spin is very tough especially if you have never taken it before. you should go at your own pace in the beginning. Sow it up a little. You don't have to go as fast as everyone else. It will take a little while but if you are consistat with it you should be fine

Re: Anyone here take spin clss?
I recently started doing spinning-- in fact I am heading to a class today. It's a real tough class-- I am able to make it through, but last time I went more at my own resistance. I work out regularly and can do the whole class-- but, you really do need to get used to it.
My mom also gave me her seat since the first time I took it, my um, area, was sore for days! That helped me on my last class a lot.
I just really look at it as a cardio work out, and if I was doing my own machine, I would slow down if I needed to, if I needed a drink of water, etc., and wouldn't feel I was not keeping up or not getting a good work out.
