Mine was yesterday and it wasn't that bad, but they can be painful depending on where the baby is.
 Just lie down and relax, hopefully it will get better

I had my first internal last thursday and nothing happened to me. My dr did say cramping, spotting, uncomfortablity is normal. I was expecting all of it, but I've just had the regular little cramping. It's normal for some pain. Tomorrow is my second internal so we'll see if i get something.

when you ladies refer to internals are you talking about with a speculam (sp?) or with feeling around? i've had a ton of them where the go in with their hands and feel the cervix and altough its not pleasent or enjoyable it doesnt hurt.

When they do the internals at the last weeks of pregancy (without Speculam) they usually hurt more for some reason. Could be because the baby is so low...not really sure. They never hurt in the beginning of pregnancy or middle for me but at the end oh boy they are not pleasant.
