Anyone in the Huntington/northport area interested in walking on the weekends?
I need a walking partner - I am training for the 2 day breast cancer walkin June and was wondering if anyone wanted to "train" with me?
Should be in relatively good shape to be comfortable eventually doing a 10-15 mile walk - early Sunday mornings...
I should clarify -I hope to build to that mileage by the end of May - not initially do a 10-15 miler - possibly 3-5 miles to start out....
If you are interested let me know! Thanks!

Soooo..... the idea of eventually walking 10-15 miles doesn't appeal to anyone?

I can't do it, but would love to if I had the time.
I did do the Avon walk a few years ago, and I hooked up with a training walking group on one of the message boards, I think. It was great, because we had a regular time and place we met on Sunday mornings and who ever could make it just showed up.
The 10 mile walks get boring without someone to talk to.

I can walk 10-15 miles no problem but I live in Wantagh. I walk the Wantagh path with my friend a lot, i believe its about 9 miles roundtrip. I did the 3-day a few years ago and it was awesome !!! Good luck !!!
