Anyone just feel really hopeful lately?
It sounds weird but between the plane crash and Obama's inauguration (especially right after MLK day), I just feel especially hopeful about the future of this country.

to be honest, I am usually always hopeful. i really dont let things get me down very much, and when they do it doesn't last long.

ITA too. I feel we can now focus and go in a more positive direction. IT migth take some time but we will get there. I feel more confident with Obama then I did Bush. It seemed like he could care less with what was going on.

Not to be a downer, but no, I don't Peronally with things and economy wise, I think it is going to be a very long road. I hope to God that I am wrong, though!

It will take a while but things will cycle around it terms of the economy. In terms of the national spirit, I think we can keep our heads high through tough economic times.

I am so hopeful now that Bush is leaving. I really like Obama, but honestly, if McCain had won, I would still be hopeful. Despite the horrible economy and world situation, I do feel happier than I did four years ago when he was re-elected. That was just too depressing and an embarassment to me.
Only 2 more days!!!

Definately but I think it has a lot to do with the life I have in my belly that is going to hatch any day now
Although I am pretty darn excited about the Obama inaugaration too!

Unfortunately no - my DH and alot of my family is involved in finance and they keep talking about how it is going to get worse before it gets better. Obama does not have a magic wand to take care of this.

dh happened to talk about this with a guy at the store. they're hopefully. they think obama could fix it. but it will take about 2-3 yrs. dh is also nervous since he works in finance
