anyone know if crinone/progesterone keeps....
af from starting?
due for af in a couple days.....had iui almost two weeks ago..... no pg signs...
but i am supposed to call if i dont get af...but curious if progesterone supp will stop my af from happening even if it wants to come..any thoughts? ty

I'm pretty sure it does keep AF from coming. The dr doesn't have you coming in for a pg test? I had to go in 2 weeks after IUI for a blood test. It was a BFN, I stopped the Crinone that day, AF arrived 5 days later.

For the majority of us, yes if will hold it off. So, you really should go for beta to find out before you stop anything. Hopefully you are scheduled to have one. Good luck!

yes crinone does delay/prevent AF. im surprised they didnt just schedule you for a beta 2 weeks from the IUI instead of making you wait!!

its rma..... and they said that its in the computer...and a nurse will call 2 weeks after iui to set up appt for beta if i havent had af...
but i am going to call tomorrow cause i think that is silly!!! would rather just set something up.
cause if i am not pg.... lets get the ball rolling for next cycle ya know? sheesh lol xoxo

I thought that they were supposed to make you come in at 14DPO or so..that way you can stop taking the progesterone? I always stop at 13DPO or so if I ma not pregnant according to HPT's...but I use VERY sensitive tests. AF will not come for me on progesterone...it will usually come 2 to 3 days after my last supp.

I didnt get AF with the crinone
but after my IUI i had a beta scheduled at 2 weeks. I made the appointment for the beta at the IUI appt.

I was told that because I was on progesterone I had to come in for a beta at 14 days because the progesterone delays your AF. With me that was not the case. I got mine the day before my beta (though it softened the blow for me because I was prepared for a negative beta-even though people kept telling me it could be bleeding from implantation, I figured it was my AF). Most people it delays their AF though so you should go in for the blood work. Good luck!!
