Anyone know of the odds of still becoming GD if you passed the 3 hour test?
I passed my 3 hr at week 26, due to family history I tested then and even skipped the 1 hr.
Now with the big baby, I have to retest and I wonder, 7 weeks later, what are the odds I could have become GD? Anyone ever hear of this or did this happen to you?
I am worried now, I have been drinking a lot of juices, eating candy, etc thinking I was ok b/c I passed the 3 hr.

My SIL passed her 3h test....
after a week or so..she was feeling kind of weird (off)....she started testing her blood sugar levels and sure enough they were high....she is now on insulin and her baby at 36 week is measuring 6lbs 13oz...

i don't know the stats, but GD gets worse over time so there are many "undiagnosed cases" out there - people who pass the one hour at 28 weeks and if tested again at 32+ would fail.
i used to think that if one borderline passes the 1 hour test, one will pass the 3 hour no problem. that is until recently a friend of mine failed the 1 hour by one point and then went ahead to fail the 3 hour miserably. i have GD and failed the one hour by a lot, but her 3 hour numbers were a lot worse than mine. it really made the both of us .
the more i learn, the more i find the testing and diagnosing of GD to be pretty ridiculous. i have followed dr.'s orders only because i am responsible for DD and don't want to play the "if i only did this" game. if it were just me, i would with my diagnosis and move on...
