Anyone know what technique is used to close up after a csection
My friend just called and said i should i ask Dr. H. how she closes up after a csection is it with staples or with stitches on the inside. Just curious if anyone had any idea. TIA

There is also a glue.
I was told staples/stitches run less risk of infection but I believe your scar looks a lot nicer with glue.

my OB used steri-strips (i am assuming dissolvable stitches on the inside)
it was awesome, no staples or stitches to be removed, and they were off in a week - and i have a great, very narrow scar.

I agree, my OB did a great job 1 year later 1/2 my scar is nearly invisible.

I had both staples and stitches that disolved. My scar is soo small.

I had steri strips with DS and dissolvable stitches inside. The only thing is that the day you are ready to leave the cut the external string under the stips. It is painless.

I had stitches on the inside, I didn't want glue or staples. Luckyly my dr. had the same idea. I would ask what they do.

1st time - staples
2nd time - staples and then steri strips after the staples were out
