Anyone listen to z100, jon bell is leaving
i only caught bits and pieces of his speech, was he forced out or is he retiring?. I liked him alot.

Aww, i'm torn on how I feel about this. I love John Bell but lately he's been sort of "left out" and doesn't really add too much to the show. I think it's time. Hopefully, it's by his own choice and he'll go on and enjoy his life. He's a great guy

I know!!! I also feel like it's time for him...but in his farewell speech he mentioned that if it was up to him he'd be carried out in a stretcher......so I wonder?? Who will they replace him with......hmm??

Wow!! I noticed that he hasn't been on in the past few weeks for a few days at a time!
I haven't heard the announcement, but he always seemed like a contributor to me.

Honestly I listen to the radio for music so I usually scroll past if they are talking...but when I do listen I actually like him best --Danielle annoys me--her voice

Oh I love John Bell! I have noticed he has been out more frequently and when he is their they barely let him get a word in. So sad! I wish it was Carolina saying she was leaving!

He's mentioned on air he has had cancer in the past, and he's in his mid-70s. Plus his youngest son is a teenager, I bet he wants to enjoy some time with his family now.
I will miss him!

yeah, i heard the speech and it definitely sounds like he needs to slow down against his wishes, but i think its health rather than replacement.

Was today his final day?! I heard about him retiring, missed the actual annoucement. If today was his last day then he got jibed!!! he has been on z100 for as long as i can remember. i loved him and he def. will be missed!!!!
I agree w/ another poster, i wish it were Carolina!

I just listened and I am CRYING. I used to listen to it every day on my way to work. He was my favorite. Even though I havent listened in a LONG time..he will be sorely missed. Such a huge part of my life that once was and such a nice, decent man.

I actually think it's contract issues. There is a quote from him about a snowflake on the website and if you read it it seems like his contract was not renewed.
Also, the fact that are not elaborating or giving him much fan fare makes me think its contract related.
