anyone live in a studio apartment?

DH and i will be living at his parent's house for a while (no idea how long).

they have a mother daughter and the apartment is a studio.

we can get a screen, and we have a humidifier that we use as a white noise machine.

i am so worried that DS won't nap or sleep well at night - any advice?

We have a 1 bedroom apartment...not a studio. Right now my boyfriend and I are sleeping in the livingroom because we recently got Rylan to sleep in the room by himself...CIO. Whenever we decide to go back in I will be buying a cable curtain rod to seperate the room for sleeping.

Re: anyone live in a studio apartment?

We did for a year before moving to a one bedroom. (We are in the city.)

We had a heavy curtain separating the living space from DD's crib space in the studio. It was fine until she was about 15 months old. Then she wanted to stay up with us and we had to be absolutely quiet in order for her to go to sleep. We jumped at the chance of a 1 bedroom in our building.

And now, go figure, we have been in the 1 bedroom for the last year and she has been going to sleep just fine with the bedroom door open. We can't shut it until she's fast asleep because she gets mad. Chat Icon

We are moving into our house next week and while I welcome the change, I'm going to miss our cozy apartment. It was fine while she was small, but it's time to move into a bigger space.
