Re: anyone not able to get DC even 1st H1N1 vaccine
I gave both DD's (4&7) both flu shots two and a half weeks ago. I was so happy that I was able to get the vaccinations for both of them.
However, my 4 year old tested postitive for the flu 2 days ago, even though she received the vaccine. They believe it is H1N1 because it is not considered regular flu season yet.
They said she should have gotten a booster a month after the original shot (it hasn't been a month yet, and they don't even have it in.)
So even though she had the shots, she got the flu anyhow!

unfortunately that is the problem when they need 2 shots they don't have full protection I have seen people say 80% but have heard only about 50-60% until you receive both shots - and I think it takes about 2-3 weeks just to get immunity once you get the shot - so your DD might not have gotten that limited immunity yet. It stinks I know. I hope your 4 year old feels better soon

My PED only has the vaccine with the preservative. She is waiting for the preservative free ones.
