Anyone not have dental insurance...what do you use?
I had to get a new health insurance policy...and it does not include dental. The agent suggested I get a discount dental plan.
Does anyone have one of these? How do you like it? Any tips?

EDP. (Eastern Dental Plan)
They have a lot of dentists that accept the plan.
ETA: I like it a lot. Its pretty inexpensive for the year and you get at least 25% off all procedures/visits. And there are a lot of set discounted prices for services and procedures like fillings, cleanings, etc.
For the price, I personally feel its a good deal.

I'm in the dental field and IMO the majority of dental practices that accept discount plans are inferior to practices that don't. My suggestion would be to open a Flex account, put the max amount in it & use those tax free dollars to pay for your families dental needs at the practice of your choice.

I am in the business as well and I used to think this but my current practice accepts it and we are a quality office. I think HMO plans are alot worse than the discount dental plans. I have seen such horrible treatment to HMO patients
I would look into EDP if $$ is an issue. And you are welcome to come to our office in W Suffolk for good tx

We have a discount dental plan through DentalPlans.com. I love my entire dental practice and find they are highly qualified.
