Anyone NOT insured when they found out they were pg?
I'm still on my ex's insurance until March.... then i have nothing.
i figured i will apply for medicaid.
anyone else go through this? suggestions?

No but my friend's husband lost his job when she was pg along with his benefits and she ended up using the PCAP program which I think is like medicaid.

You live in NYC, right? You can go get WIC and Medicaid/Medicare b/c you are pregnant.
You may want to apply now, I am pretty sure your ex's insurance may want to disclaim pregnancy related things (could be wrong though).
The city offers very good resources for pregnant women

Go to the Department of Social Services. If you are in Suffolk, it is on 454 close to MacArthur Apt. I deal with this a lot at work and they are very helpful

That office does not accept applications. Western Suffolk Medicaid office is in the Hauppauge Industrial Park, Eastern Suffolk Medicaid is on Main Stree in Riverhead.

You state, whatever that may be might have some kind of pregnancy insurance for single moms to be. Maine has that and I have recommended it to my single friends that have gotten pg and it paid for everything. Call you local Health and Human Services and they should be able to tell you if your state has that. I think it's like Medicaid, not sure.
