Re: Anyone on modified bed rest...

I dunno if u can all it bed rest but Im on limited house arrest. LOL
I am only allowed to work a few days a week and when Im home i have to sit my A$$ down and do nothing.
So on those days I watch TV and play on the comp and read and write in my pregnancy journal.
stuff like that.
When my DH gets home we watch movies and snuggle. Sometimes we play backgammon.

Thank you all so much! I know it's going to be a long 3 months but it will be worth it in the end. I'm all belly and I was so uncomfortable at work. Staying home is the best thing for me and my Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Anyone on modified bed rest...

I was during my pregnancy...I was on LIF a lot! I also watched a ton of stupid reality tv, caught up on e-mails and phone calls, read US Weekly and other stupid magazines, and researched everything about babies, twins, motherhood, etc.

Enjoy the quiet now! Chat Icon

I was --- until today (when my doc told me complete bedrest). When I was on modified bedrest, I stayed at home, crocheted, edited photos with photoshop, organized the babies' room a little bit, read, and watched t.v. Now, I'm relegated to my bed or the sofa. Hang in there! Chat Icon

Re: Anyone on modified bed rest...

I was on strict bedrest from 14 weeks till 24 weeks and then strict HOSPITAL bedrest from 24 weeks till the twins were born at 31 weeks 6 days!!!

I pretty much did the same things as the other girls. Def get Netflix or something with on demand movies/shows...its was a savior. I basically chose a sitcom that I never watched, that people were raving about (for example True Blood) and I literally spent the next few days watching back to back episodes on demand. Those days felt like they were 10 minutes long!

I also agree you should have visitors whenever possible. Not only was that a huge help but it made the time fly by. In addition I learned to crochet, did crosswords, played on the internet, and started scrapebooking all my sonogram pictures.

Oh and when the weather was nice I went outside and sat on a lounge in the backyard with magazines.

Hope that helps some!

Re: Anyone on modified bed rest...

Thank you all...this definitely helps a lot. My problem is I try to do too much and I know I shouldn't. This morning I got so dizzy putting the groceries away that I had to lay back in bed for a while. I know my doctor was nervous about having me out of work so early (worried about blood clots) but I just physically couldn't do it! I think I have a years worth of magazines to catch up on and I have my Nook. It will all be worth it in the end...I'm sure I'll be thanking myself in June Chat Icon Chat Icon
