This is what happens when you put a teacher on bed rest...
My childbirth instructor gave us a bag of dried lavender and told us to mix it up with rice and put it in a tube sock. Then you can heat it up in the microwave and it makes a nice soothing heat pack just like they sell in the mall!
Well I made mine today.. Then I thought... It needed some help. It looked a little sad....
So.....
I made this.

very cool...i have heard of doing this with buckwheat but never did....what kind of rice do you use? (are there any special instructions for it!)
(and ps - i totally would have deocrated mine too....with or without bed rest! )

I just used plain white rice and dried lavender. I layered it in the sock, tied it off and I was done. I put it in the microwave for a minute and put in on my forehead for a headache. It was pretty nice!
