Anyone own a bread maker?
I always wanted one, and DH just bought me the "Breadman".
So, now what? I read the booklet, but I wanted to know if anyone had any tips/recipies? Are they easy to use?
TIA!

Re: Anyone own a bread maker?
Yes! I got a breadmachine years ago... I think an ex BF got it for me for the holidays back in 2000 or something. I actually wanted one. LOL!
Anyway... go to the bakery aisle at any supermarket and there's usually breadmachine packages. It comes with the yeast and other stuff to throw in the machine and a few hours later you have fresh bread. I used to get it at Costco b/c they had different varaties of bread to make in one box. I think only thing you add is water and the boxes will give you easy directions. Haven't used it in years, but the bread is so good and nothing like fresh, warm bread.

Thanks. I didn't even know they sold "kits". I never noticed, but I'm going to take a look today.

Re: Anyone own a bread maker?
They sell kits, which are easiest, but if you go to a bookstore and get an inexpensive breadmaker recipe book - the breads are outstanding!
