I live right around the corner from our high school, and I want to start running again....but DH is working a LOT right now, so I am always with my 6 and almost 4 year old. Which I don't mind at all! Except that I really want to try to get in better shape and running is how I've always worked out.
Do you think it's ok to bring the kids to the track with me while I run? Not sure what they would do? Maybe bring a blanket for them and they could color, etc?
Does anyone do this? TIA!!!

Can they bring bikes, scooters, soccer ball? Growing up I lived on a pretty steep hill, so we spent a lot of time at the track, its where I learned to bike and roller blade, etc.

How about get a mother's helper or babysitter to come while you run? They could even still come to the track with you, but the babysitter could watch the kids.
When I was a young teenager, I used to watch a girl on my block for an hour each morning so her mom could workout.

I always see kids at the track. I think you can pack some coloring books , snacks and a ball. The only thing is the track by me almost always has a game or practice going on. Lots of lacrosse balls flying around.
