Anyone send their child to Merrick Community Camp
The prices are so reasonable. I was going to send her to Twin Oaks where she goes to school but the difference in price is making me rethink it. She is only 3...so how bad could it be for a 3 year old?....any feedback?

Re: Anyone send their child to Merrick Community Camp
My son has attended school there since he was 3 yrs old. He went to camp there last summer and loved it. The teachers who are in charge of the camp are wonderful people who truly love their jobs and the children they teach/ supervise at camp. They are awesome. YOu should really check it out because I think your assumptions about the school are way off. what do you mean how bad can it be? It is very age appropriate and if you want your child to have an awesome summer, I would seriously consider it. It is not bad at all for a three yr old. In fact as a working mom who goes to many preschools and daycares as part of my job I practically jump through hoops so my son can go there. It would be so much easier for me (timewise) to send him to Twin Oaks, but I choose Merrick Community.

I don't think she was making any auumptions about the school. I took it as, since Twin Oaks is where her DD goes now, it's a place she trusts and knows well. To answer the OP's question...I live in Bellmore so I know several people in the neighborhood who send their kids there and are very happy. Good Luck!

What assumptions did I make ....no need to be so touchy....all I meant was at 3 years old any camp should be fine as long as they are playing and with friends....it's not like with an older child where you would need to make sure you picked a camp with lots of activities so they wouldn't be bored.....that's all.....no need to read into things so much

I still have to send in my tuition for next year for Pre-K....I requested Linda U in Sept. like you said so I'm excited. I decided on 5 mini days from 11-3:30 since DH is home still to put her on the bus. Who will Sara have?
