anyone shop for home stuff @ thrift stores?
I hit one up today and got a few items that I would have paid triple for in Pier 1 or Anthropologie.
if so, which ones do you go to?
I'll go anywhere!

Salvation Army on 109 in West Babylon has a good housewares dept. There is a store in Babylon Village on Deer Park Ave that is run by a church and has good housewares too. I also go to the church thrift shop on 110 in Amityville just by Merrick Rd.
There are a lot more that I go to I just need to think about it, I'll get back to you lol

Yes-I like to spray paint stuff I find there. I am doing a photo walll with all frames I got from Goodwill and spray paint satin black. I am still kicking myself since I saw a huge Buddha there(for the garden) that was goild. Now I am wishing I got it and painted it with copper verdigris...

I've bought (and donated) quite a few pieces from/to ReStore (Habitat for Humanity) on Ocean Ave in Ronkonkoma, near Islip Airport.
The focus on building supplies (windows, doors, kitchen cabinets, tile, molding, etc), but they have a variety of almost anything house-related. I've seen pianos, couches, appliances, mirrors, lights, etc.
