just use excel, that is what I did. I made a box for each table and the amount of cells in it represented how many people could sat at that table.

Then just group the people with who you want them to sit with.

30 people is not hard to seat, you will be fine.

Re: Anyone still have their seating chart from their wedding?

I blew up the seating chart the hall gave me to a larger size (not sure of measurments, but one up from legal-size, if that makes sense) & used sticky tabs ( the long skinny ones, not regular post-its) with everyones names on them. Hung it on a wall, and moved everyone around as RSVPs came in. It was easy to adjust this way, and easy to visualize how everyone would be seated.

Also, I tried to sit down with DH and do this 3x with his help, and we got nowhere. I finally did it while he was at work, and seriously got it done in 15 minutes. Yes, input is helpful, but you might be better off making executive decisions and just getting it done. Chat Icon

ok you might laugh at they way we did it.

we wrote out all the names on paper then we put adhesive on the backs of the paper then we stuck them to the wall in our living room

So that we could see the how to place the tables so that people could have enough room to walk around.

Are you talking about seating charts for you and the hall, or to have instead of placecards at the reception?

I never used a nice one.

What about making a table on Word with a nice font?

Anything I can do to help- let me know!! I remember how much you helped me during my wedding planning.
