Anyone suffering from numbness in their hands?
I know this is a weird question, but for the past week my hands have been going numb during the night, waking me up because it's painful My wrists and hands are sore when I wake. I was just putting mascara on and my left hand went numb, again!?!
Just wondering if anyone's as weird as me.

Re: Anyone suffering from numbness in their hands?
Yes, yes, yes! This week it has been happening to me too.
I had a midwide appt yesterday and asked about it and she said it is normal during pregnancy. It is caused by excess fluid.

Re: Anyone suffering from numbness in their hands?
I have this in my joints- it ended up being pregnancy induced arthritis. My doc said it might not go away after pregnancy

Re: Anyone suffering from numbness in their hands?
OMG ladies, you have NO idea how much better I feel knowing that you guys understand what I'm going through! I am sorry you are too. It's NOT fun.
I spoke to my sister today and she told me that during her 1st pregnancy she had such bad swelling that it happened to her, but later in her pregnancy.
I am only 17 1/2 weeks
If anyone speaks to their doctor before I do, please, let me know if they recommend anything.
Until then... I'm right there with you

Re: Anyone suffering from numbness in their hands?
I went on babycenter and read some tips.
They say not to sleep on your hands (i.e. with your hands under your pillow or under your head) and they also suggested sleeping with a wrist brace on.

Re: Anyone suffering from numbness in their hands?
UH. What a PITA. I had that Carpal Tunnel Release surgery, and it was the most annoying pain that I've ever had. All these great things to look forward to when I'm PG in the future! yay!

Re: Anyone suffering from numbness in their hands?
What do they recommend for the swelling? I can't even get my wedding rings on already!
This really is the most annoying thing so far! I can't believe it's happening so early

Re: Anyone suffering from numbness in their hands?
This happened to me in the end...I tried the wrist band and NOTHING worked. I slept with pillow propped up, because they went numb when I laid on my sides......They went away the day after I gave birth. It is the swelling

Re: Anyone suffering from numbness in their hands?
Carpal tunnel hurts. Get the braces for night time and try to be very careful about lifting and extending your wrist.
