Anyone think this way about their kid? (Moms of 2 year olds)
Maybe it is because he is such a good, easy going kid (outside of his little OCD quirks )
maybe it's because this kid has a rocking sense of humor that sincerely makes me hold my guts laughing sometimes, or because we can have actual conversations now, but I feel like he is my friend.
I know it sounds corny, but I used to look forward to spending time with him to playw ith my baby, to hold him, and cuddle him, but it still felt like I was taking care of him more than anything else.
now, I look forward to seeing him to hang out with him. We are going away together to shelter Island tomorrow - 2 days before DH, just so I can have this time with him just to hang out.
He is rarely a pain in the a s s or difficult. He is just a fun, easy going person, that I really feel like our time together is hanging out with a friend.
Anyone else feel that way about their little one? He is 28 months old...

I feel the same way about miki, she is my best buddy (even though she can be VERY difficult at times)
the good times I have with her make all those "crazy" times okay
she is such a little lady and a big helper (she helps me with laundry and the dishes)

Re: Anyone think this way about their kid? (Moms of 2 year olds)
my kid is cool as hell.
This morning we went for our exploring walk with his magnifying glass. It was a long, hot 3 miles, but he just goes with the flow.
Went to park, picked flowers for me.
We gathered rocks and stood on a train bridge, throwing them down.
Went down his spooky street, and apples under our favorite magnolia tree.
He's this polite, funny guy.
He was my date at a party last night, he spoke to no one...I take him to restroom to pee, he goes on and on about the fun time he's having and he can't believe they have juice boxes here.
Goes back out, not a word. he's really funny.

Absolutely! My older DS is 3 1/2 and I love hanging out with him. He is so funny and really makes me laugh all the time. My younger DS is 17 months and is really starting to have such a fun personality as well.

Yes, I do. Of course it's not the same for us. I don't have the conversations I would LOVE to have with DS. But I have "adapted" to have our own interactions so we still have fun.

I totally feel that way about both my kids, although I wish I had more alone time with my DD at this stage. She's a very serious kid and never really shows affection or appreciation, although I know she loves us and is having a good time.
My DS is the opposite, no matter what I do with him his all hugs and kisses. I feel the bond with him so much more even without him being able to say a word. I'm so looking forward to him walking and talking!!

Absolutely...I always say DD is the best little buddy...I love having conversation with her, and lately she asks me what she can help me with. So she "helps me" with the laundry, unloading the dishwasher, wiping down the counters, etc. LOVING the toddler age, so much fun!

Yes, I absolutely love hanging w/ Gracie lately; she's talking so much now & makes these funny voices & says funny things. She helps me w/ the laundry & emptying the dishwasher & getting me the baby's bottle; etc.
She started saying Let's go Mets today when she saw the Mets logo at the supermarket.
She's my little buddy

I am spending two weeks alone with my kid, and he is the most amazing thing ever in the whole world. Love him to pieces! Okay, he is three and a half, but I feel the same way! And it keeps getting better!
