Anyone travel with food/bottles on an airplane? What are the rules?

Will be traveling with DS next month on a plane and figured I'd go to the experts to get info on transporting food and bottlesChat Icon

1. I want to give DS a bottle on the plane, A. because it should hopefully cue him to take a nap and B. to help with the popping of the ears on take-off.

Will they let me bring a bottle of milk for him? Will security let it through?

2. We are staying with family but I prefer to bring most of DS' food with me. I still make all his food. Can I bring frozen food onto the plane? Can I like put it in a cooler bag with those ice packs to keep it frozen. It's only a trip to FL so I'm thinking the food will stay frozen.

How did you handle transporting food?

TIA!

I had no problem with any of these when flying to Jamaica.....not 100% sure about the cold pack but they were pretty lenient with what we could bring for DD
