I've been on modified bed rest since Tuesday and it's killing me!  I know it's worth it in the end, but I've got about 8 weeks to go (due September 16th)
Now I'm watching Ace of Cakes 
How long was DH away for?

aw, well you can do it!!  And it will ABSOLUTELY be worth it!! 
DH has been away since Wednesday morning. It's the longest we have been apart, I can't wait to see him!!
I felt so bad complaining about that to my one friend whose boyfriend lives on the other side of the country  It must be so hard.

I know how you feel! My DH travels so often for work - he's usually gone early Tuesday morning through later Thursday evening. Every 7 weeks he's gone Sunday through Saturday.  I've gotten so used to it that I don't even ask him where he's going anymore. I just ask him to text me when he gets to his destination safely.

Thanks! He's actually not away for work, he had to help out a friend who is moving across the country  I was originally going to tag along (I teach so I'm home for the summer) but I decided to stay back and relax and let the boys spend some time together
I did some shopping and checked out the Nordstrom sale. Have you been there? Lots of nice stuff, though people on this board were commenting that they found nothing. I got 2 pairs of jeans and a Juicy outfit. The Juicy outfit was a great deal! $100 total for the top and bottom!

yes! In fact it was me she was commenting to (in case you haven't noticed ) and until the other poster responded and made me realize she was insulting me, I thought she HONESTLY wanted to know where I work she could move TO my district I was just SO confused, it went right over my head!
In any case, are you having a relaxing, plan-free summer?

That's the spirit!
We are definitely going to go away somewhere, but not sure where yet. We're trying to save for a house so nothing too significant- but still nice and romantic. Let me know if you have any suggestions for someplace not too far we can spend about 4 or 5 nights!
I am really enjoying this vacation.... I have to say, I haven't accomplished a whole lot but the idea of not having to wake up at 6am and follow a routine schedule all day long is NICE

That IS exciting! You don't realize how much quality time is actually spent on a couch! (if you're a lazy a$$ like me!!) What kind of couch are you going for? Any reclining seats? My couch has 3 seats in it that recline..... I don't use it as much but DH loves it.
(Sorry if this is a lame comment- but I promise the excitement is genuine!)

we live in an apartment so it cant be something big, but I want one that have one side with chase lounge type of deal.. We saw a nice funky red couch that I really like so I am going to the store tomorrow to measure

the invitation is open as soon as the couch arrive but I live in florida so we are going to need to plan a road trip gtg for that one,
