Anyone want to start a walking group when the weather gets nicer? (UPDATED)
We can go to different state parks that have walking trails, beaches that have boardwalks, any other places that you can take a stroller.
I don't mind walking around my neighborhood but it gets boring after a while.
UPDATE : I think we'll try to schedule a walk after April 2nd (Daylight Savings Time) just to see how it affects the babies wake up / nap schedule. I know Kevin's schedule (what schedule?!? LOL ) will be messed up for the first couple of days.
I'm thinking the first walk would be on a Sunday late morning / early afternoon. That way working moms can join in too.
Sound ok?

I'm definately interested and live right in Levittown -- so I'm close to some of you.
Wantagh Park is a nice place -- we used to go there before baby and I can't wait to go with her this year!

I found this book called Baby Friendly Long Island and it list great places to take little ones. I'll check it and make a list of possible places.
If you have a suggestion for a nice place to go walking, post it on the thread.

I figure that we'd try to alternate Nassau & Suffolk locations if that's ok with everyone.
I've never been to Eisenhower Park so maybe that would be a nice place to start us off.

What a great idea! Count me in! I'm in Hauppauge. I like the alternating between Suffolk and Nassau idea.

The library has it and I've seen it at Barnes and Nobles.
Get it from the library. Its a good book but probably not worth buying. (IMO)

I can't see why we couldn't do a weekend once in a while. I'm sure there are a lot of other working moms who might like to go walking also. Would you come to Nassau or is that too far?
