Anyone watch Gene Simmon's "Family Jewels"?
Haven't seen this show talked about, and it's on A&E, so it's not the most popular channel.
DW is pretty sure that this is a lead-up to them getting married. Of course, for 27 years, uber-macho "We're not married" Gene can't just "surrender" to Shannon and get married. He needs a whole production, with the therapist confirming that if he does stay with Shannon, that he's still in charge, and his family, kids, coworkers, bandmates, etc all telling him that Shannon is the most important thing in his life...
Not sure when the season ends, but I think the season finale will be him proposing...

I haven't watched the show in a long time, but didn't she walk out on him during an interview recently: Joy Behar on CNN? I'm assuming these shows were already filmed at that point. I wonder if the walkout was all an act to create a buzz and get folks to tune in.
I'm sure the footage is on CNN.

She left their house for a while, after walking out on him during a therapy session.

Same here, I haven't seen the show in a pretty long time but I wouldn't be surprised if this was all a big lead up to them getting married.
Kinda seems more like a publicity stunt though, if you ask me...
Like I could see if they just got married and it came out but to do it now after being together almost 30 years, what's the point?
It would be like Kurt Russell and Goldi Hawn making a huge production over getting married. IMOP it's like you've been together this long without being married why bother now?

She also walked out on him in a recent interview with Howard Stern.

Empty Nest Syndrome. For years, Sophie was her best friend, now, the 16,500 square foot house is going to be completely empty if Gene is traveling, since both kids are out of the house. She's also 54, and needing regular surgeries to try and maintain her looks (which isn't working that great.... most surgeries look fake, even though she's had a good surgeon who does good work, it's still obvious that she's had lots of work done)

OMG, I hate what she's done to herself! I'm guessing because some the less extreme options (botox, etc.) weren't available when she started her upkeep.

I agree... she and her sister both look totally fake. I wonder what she would look like had she had not had so many surgeries.
