Anyone watching Bringing Home Baby?
I had never heard of such a debilitating headache from an epidural before!

I was feeling soo bad for her, she couldn't even make it to the bathroom alone her hubby bought her a bed pan.
Another reason for me to stick by my decision to go natural!

I went natural for my 3rd baby and let me tell ya, I'd take that horrible headache anyday over the pain of natural childbirth, it was no picnic! That epidural was pricesless with my first 2!

Oh believe me I know it will be painful I am more worried about the possible side effects of an epidural then the birth and labor. Everyone except my DH thinks I will cave in, but I know myself, and I just feel too strongly about natural birth.
And hoping for a short labor

Re: Anyone watching Bringing Home Baby?
Unfortuanately this happened to me. I was getting constant severe headaches after birth (I had an epidural) and each day it was getting progressively worse until it was so bad I was seeing halos and vomiting everytime I stood upright (great with a newborn! ) so I had to go back to St.Charles for a blood patch where they inject blood from your arm and inject it into the old epidural site-it was painful but my headaches instantly went away. The only bad thing was I got an infection at the site and spiked a fever up to 104.8 and had to be readmitted for 5 days for IV antibiotics-it was so sad to be away from my new baby that long.

I was so worried about the side effects too, until I was 7-8 cm with no epidural yet- then I didn't care!
I was ready for it!
Danielle that is awful!

I had a spinal when I had my cerclage placed and the dr's said not to lift my head after surgery or else I would get the worst headache ever...

Re: Anyone watching Bringing Home Baby?
I had to have a blood patch after getting a spinal tap that leaked. The headache was unbearable and I was hopitalized. I cant imagine having that after giving birth! Did the girl on the show have a Csection?

Well I know the girl on the show wanted to go naturally but then after like 10 hours got the epidural. Then she did end up giving birth vaginally. She said it took her a few weeks to recover fully from the headache
