Back tracking a little....Kanye was a bit egotistical with his speech - I shouldn't expect less from him, but jeez....
Yeah, for a second there I thought he was going to be gracious saying that Amy Winehouse or the other dude deserve the award... then he had to be himself and add "I deserve it too"

Yes. It shows off more when he was performing under blackness earlier in the show.
