Anyone watching the Olympics?
We are.
Although DH only cares about hockey.
I like most of the events.

Re: Anyone watching the Olympics?
DH is an Olympic-aholic. He can't get enough. He would take off from work and watch 24-7 if he could. I enjoy watching most of the events, particularly figure skating, but can't watch nearly as much as he does. The big debate is once I get home at 10:00 tonight, do we watch Men's Figure Skating, or American Idol. For once, I'm foregoing Idol for another night.

Re: Anyone watching the Olympics?
Tonight I'm flipping between the Olympics & American Idol. My favorite is the figure skating but DH likes the hockey.

My DH worked on the trading desk at a Canadian bank and they used to put curling on the tvs during the day. It drove him insane.

Re: Anyone watching the Olympics?
I tivo-ed some events since I was at work when they were happening. I find that weird since I remember when there were no tivos and you had to watch it live. DH says that all his coworkers tivo the games. I don't know...to me it loses the spirit...
Anyways, I stayed up late last night watching mens short figure skating, the luge, and snowboard cross. I enjoyed it SO much (except the luge which I find boring).

Curling is my favourite. . And DH's too. He just rushed home on his lunch break so we could watch it together.
Here in Germany they are a bit biased and the coverage goes to anything skiing here. Everything else comes after that.

Re: Anyone watching the Olympics?
We are so into the Olympics, it's so fun to watch. I love the snowboarding and speed skating and hearing the athlete's stories... some of them had to overcome so much to be there.
DH is in all his glory this year... Olympics now and World Cup in June!

Re: Anyone watching the Olympics?
We have been watching but I do DVR it and skip through the events I do not want to watch.
DH loves the curling but I get bored with it. I love the figure skating and the skiing stuff.

Okay I don't see why this got moved to sports. I KNOW it is about sports, but I find the Olympic games about spirit for your home country too. I think it's for everyone, not just sports fans.

yes the olympics are sports, just it's also general interest and a lot of it is pop culture.

that's an excelent description. My husband loves that sht. He actually sesk it out, sicn it sint' oen of the main sports.
He was pausing it & everything. Like he is going to ms some crucial thinking bits.
We have been watching a lot: hockey, speedskating, snowboarding, various skiing, figureskating, curling, biathalon. . .
Did anyone see the Men's snowboarding half pipe last night?

For the past two nights, my DH simultaneously watched curling on his laptop while watching the other events on TV. He's an addict!
ETA: I stand corrected. For the past THREE nights!
