ANyone Who has a kid in Day Care...
Can i ask how much you pay and how old your DC are? I might have to start doing this for my two boys and just am hoping to see what the average is. They are almost 8 months.
You can FM me if you don't feel comfortable posting it.
Thank you so much.

Re: ANyone Who has a kid in Day Care...
DD is almost 5 months and we pay $256 a week for 8 - 6pm, 5 days a week.
Funny thing is - she only goes 3 days a week about 9-5. What a waste.

Re: ANyone Who has a kid in Day Care...
Connor goes 5 days a week and can be there 7:43-6:00 (they have shorter days as well)
Right now I pay $1128 a month.
COme Sept he will be $1028 a month and the new baby will be $1218 a month.
I think the avg based on ones we saw were $1000-$1200 a month for a full day.

Re: ANyone Who has a kid in Day Care...
My place for the room that your boys would be in doesn't do 2 days a week. The minimum in Connors room is 3 days a week. I think every place has different requirements. Call around and ask. Where are you thinking?

Tutor Time I think. We would need one in the Nassau area. I know there is one in NHP. So i was going to call over there. My sister used them and she said that they are very good and could take my kids pretty soon which we will need.

Re: ANyone Who has a kid in Day Care...
DS used to go to Kiddie Academy. It was $1200 mthly. They wouldnt do pt or a few days a week. Well I guess you could do it but you would still have to pay the full amt. It stinks!! But most places I called Kiddie Academy, Tutor Time etc. were all around the same price.

If you were further east, I'd say Calling All Kids on 110. There rates seemed very reasonable and the days/weeks are flexible.

Re: ANyone Who has a kid in Day Care...
Just called my daycare since my daughter's tuition (for 3 year olds) wouldn't help you.
They charge $297/week for an 8 month old. You would get a discount for twins. My guess would be 10% off the 2nd child.

Re: ANyone Who has a kid in Day Care...
I have been calling daycares and most don't do part time. Kindercare does in my area, but it's around $250 a week. Tutor time does not in my area and they charge $252.00 a week full time.

Re: ANyone Who has a kid in Day Care...
I work for a well known national day care Corp.
There baby room (ages 6 weeks- 18 months) is $291/week from 6:30-6 there shorter day is $268 (i think) from 8:30-4
They do PT as well... Depending on enrollement at the time of course but there are children who enroll for 1 4 hr day...

Re: ANyone Who has a kid in Day Care...
My daughter is in an at-home daycare 5X a week from 8:30 - 3:30/4:30 (2 days at 4:30, 3 days at 3:30 since the babysitter got another job at nights) It costs us $243.25/week if she is there every day. --- 37 hours a week.
Sometimes the babysitter's daughter is sick so I can't bring her there and my FIL watches her, or sometimes if I have days off of work she doesn't go either.

I know the TT in bayside did not do part time. I use a day care in Lake Success that does do PT, I pay about $45 a day 8-6. FM me if you wnat info

I pay $380 a week for the twins daycare. They can be there from 6:30 AM until 6:30 PM for no extra charge. Not sure of the rate for P/T.

Re: ANyone Who has a kid in Day Care...
I'm doing tutor time and it's 1222 or something like that a month. They don't do part time since it's 1 crib per baby. We're starting in late June in Bayside...

Re: ANyone Who has a kid in Day Care...
My daughter goes 2-3 days a week from 12-5 at most and we pay $50 a day. We use a group family day care. They are a lot more flexible but they can be harder to find.
