Anyone with Aetna & North Shore OBGYN?
I posted something earlier this week about it but I am so confused...
As of Jan 1st we have Aetna and the radiologist (Dr Gross) at North Shore OBGYN is no longer accepting that for radiology services. All the dr's will continue to accept Aetna. So weird for them to break off that portion.
When I called the Mat Fetal Med lab at NSUH they thought it was so odd for them to break the radiology services off and not take Aetna for part of their services...
We live VERY FAR from Great Neck but I go there b/c of my prev high risk preg.
There was a convo on another board about Kofinas telling some people he takes GHI and others that he doesn't so it got me thinking...
Just wondering if anyone else has Aetna and goes to this practice and what your experience has been? I have already seen Dr Rifkin once (in lawrence) so technically I am already a member of the practice - in case that helps to "grandfather" me in any way...
Thanks for your help! Something just doesn't seem right...

Re: Anyone with Aetna & North Shore OBGYN?
I don't know a lot changed when the group split. Too bad Dr. Gross was very nice - and it was very easy to get sonos when it is in one office. Personally I wouldn't go with a group I had to go elsewhere too many extra appointments.
I don't know about the high risk. Dr. Klein was the only one in there with Maternal Fetal training. Last I checked (things might have changed) unless things have changed.

Re: Anyone with Aetna & North Shore OBGYN?
I followed Klein to his new practice but things are so incredibly disorderly there and he is currently not set up to do sonos in his office....
I was told that the practice is still "high-risk" however I know Klein was the only perinatologist - that may be slightly more than I need...
If anyone else has Aetna and goes to this practice please let me know! Thanks!
