Anyone's DC freak out during christening?
My DD is getting christened soon and I'm so nervous she's just going to lose it. I wouldn't mind so much, but I think there might be 5 other families there and I don't want to ruin the ceremony for them. I have the pacifier just in case. Do you think I should have a bottle ready also? I know she's just a baby and babies cry, but I'm just worrying over it.

why not just practice pooring water over her head and see how she reacts.. that can give you some idea to how she might act.

I wouldn't worry to much. No one will mind if they hear a baby crying. I did bring a bottle & binky with me just in case. My DD ended up sleeping through the whole thing. Your baby might too

DS didn't "freak out" but he was fussier than normal the whole day. I had pacifier and bottle ready and used both! He cried and fussed on and off throughout the ceremony. There were 8 babies. They were all crying on and off. Sometimes it seemed as if they were competing with each other!
Don't worry it will be fine!

My DS was fine for about the first 15 minutes of the ceremony and after that (even before the water) he was just crying and upset the entire time. He even cried all the way through the party too. He was just having a bad day and wasn't used to all these people around.
Nobody thought twice about the crying and they weren't bothered by it. If anything, they were looking at me and thinking "that poor mom".
Sometimes babies cry - nobody will mind if yours does. It gives them all an excuse to hold the baby to try to calm them down.
