Anyones DC hospitalized this yr for an unknown Virus..

DD spent whole day in ER due to a fever shes been having on and off for 3 weeks but consistently the last 4 days.. along with diarrhea and poor appeite.. went again to dr today and he sent us right over to ER. they took a millions tests and nothing has come back concrete expect that theirs some funky 4-20 virus that causing these fevers. so tired..thank god for my brother who spent the whole time with me making me laugh during my DD screaming.. Still waiting to hear about more results if nothing my ped wants her to see an infectious disease dr.. insane!!!

insane... Im so sorry you guys have to go through this. Chloe has been sick for the past 2 1/2 weeks. First it was an ear infection, then she was better for a few days and she got a fever again, no real symptoms except a runny nose, less of an appetite. Doctors weren't sure what it was. They said it was probably just some virus and to come back if it lasted for more than 4 days. On the 4th day the fever went away and she got a rash. I though it might be roseola, but then the rash got worse today and we went to the ped. It ends up she has strep. I guess in babies it shows up as a runny nose and rash. your doc probably tested for strep, but I figured I would mention it. Good luck!

My nephew was just released from the ICU after 10 days. he had sever vomiting and diarrhea for days and he was finally admitted. They did cat scans, looked for blockges, did tons of test and finally released him saying he may have gluten allergies. They have to change his entire diet! It's better off though, r]they fed him a lot of junk.

While in the hosp. w/ DD last week...I talked to a Mom who had a similair experience to you. They ended up diagnosing her son with Kawasaki....Did they try that?
