Anyone's dogs acting weird lately?
My older dog has been acting strange lately. He's been crying (not in pain at all), sitting at the top of the stairs, not sleeping much. Something seems to be bothering him but psychologically if that makes any sense?
Now my Mom's dog, Trouble is acting NUTS. She is whining, running around, only wants to be picked up, stares at the corner of the living room then runs away like something startled her. Shes a chihuahua.
I know dogs can sense things. Before the earthquake in Japan, both my dogs went nuts for days. Before 9/11, my toy poodle cried INCESSANTLY.
Just wondering if anyone's dogs were acting like this at all? It's just so weird.

YES! I brought my dog to the vet yesterday because of his weird behavior! He has been hiding in the office of my apartment standing under the desk... he isn't hanging out in his usual areas, and just perks his head up and runs into the office from wherever he is in the apt. at random times... we figured out that we think it's related to a bee hive outside our bedroom window because a few bees got into the room and I think the buzzing freaked him out... but now I'm worried hearing what you observed in yours lol. Maybe they're all experiencing allergies or something?

OH CRAP, my cat has been acting weird for the past two weeks.
Sits in the hallway and stares up the walls and ceiling, meowing loudly at them. Sometimes she tries to jump up them. Tears out of her litter box like her tail is on fire, then does the above stuff.
She wakes me up at 4 every morning, and then starts this nonsense.
I am trying to find a way to calm her down - I'm on the second floor of a co-op with a nasty $%@* downstairs, nevermind that I'm up at 4 every day.
Nothing has changed recently. I can't figure this out.

Wow so weird. DH and I were saying how weird our pup has been acting lately. He paces the house whining at night (normally hes fast asleep!). Yesterday he went out for a while and as soon as he came in he ran to my side as I was in the kitchen and was crying and then I looked down and noticed he peed on the floor. He is not sick - I know bc this is exactly how he acts when he gets scared. If he keeps it up another day hes going to the vet! but honestly, he is perfectly normal all day long and acting like his crazy self then all of a sudden he acts so spooked for a good 30 minutes or longer

This is really odd and scary. A friend just told me that usually her yard is filled with birds every morning. Without fail. She looked out today and there was not one bird back there. That scares me even more. I dont know, I just feel weird. My dog is STILL crying. This is odd.

The only time my dogs act weird like you explained is when there is a thunderstorm on the way. They haven't been acting weird lately.

115 dollars later the vet said she must have soft tissue injury.
super weird though because ii dont remember her getting hurt.

Wow! This is exactly what my Mom's dog is doing! She was up all night last night AGAIN. My mom doesnt want to take her to the vet because she knows she is not physically sick, didnt get hurt, etc. This is just so weird. I hope your pup feels better soon! Actually, I hope all of our pups feel better soon. Something is going on.

its making me very sad. ive never seen her like this. i brought her to the vet rather than wait it our because she was having a hard time going up the steps. she would yelp when i tried to pick her up.
shes still not acting like herself. she usually barks at any noise she hears. she hasnt been doing it.

My dog officially started acting like a freak two nights ago. Up most of the night, crying, pacing, etc. Nothing makes him happy - he doesn't want a biscuit or to go out, just wants to jump on an off the bed, cry, whine, pace, etc.
What is going on??

Yes, this weekend he wants to go out, then asks to come in right away, wants to go upstairs, then asks to go downstairs right away - its like he isn't comfortable anywhere.
and this thread is seriously freaking me out.

my cats have been acting VERY strange lately. One in particular, Kiwi. Kiwi wakes me up at around 4 or 5 am every single day... she sits next to my bed staring at the walls crying so loud. this will go on for hours... until 10 sometimes 11 am!! i have to get up and lock her out of the room to get her to stop. it's excessive. IDK what's gotten into her. she will also cry when she's in a room alone and you are in another room. she's always looking at things that I don't see and just making noises.
My other cat Skyla, doesn't do this as often or as long. But on occasion she does it too.
it's been going on for more than 2 weeks. way more. at least a few months. IDK what it is or how to stop it. It's making me nuts!! We have a baby on the way and I can't have Kiwi waking up the baby like this all the time. I'm going to have to lock kiwi out of rooms.
We won't give up our cats for anything. they are here for good. but geez, I wish i could figure this out to put a stop to it!

so weird.
shes on medicine which seems to help her but shes not 100 percent.
shes been sleeping under our bed. than was crying all night looking to wake me up and put her on the bed. i asked dh to let her out but it was too late. ugh just what i want to do at 2 am.
today im going to takeher out for the first time since friday and see how she acts when shes out.
