Anyone's infant boycott food ?
My daughter has been having cereal for 1 month now, she's 5 months old. For the last week she wants nothing to do with cereal or veggies/fruits that were recently introduced.
Is this a phase?
Would you ? - Just keep trying them ? - Take a break from the foods for a week and try again ?

Re: Anyone's infant boycott food ?
DS went through a food strike too! He was just about a week shy of 6mos. Not only was he refusing all solids (after nearly 2 whole months of devouring them), he was actually GAGGING on them!
It only lasted 5 days - I'd try a little every day and see if he'd take it (his favorites - oatmeal w/ bananas or sweet potatoes). When those 5 days were over, he was interested in the solids more than ever and started eating whole stage 2 jars 3x/day. It was the weirdest thing, like he'd flipped a switch or something.
I know some people will tell you not to worry, they don't need solids until 12m, etc. My ped disagrees with that sentiment. He said there's a reason they start foods at 4 mos and it's not for "practice".
Hang in there!

Re: Anyone's infant boycott food ?
i am in the same situation right now. my DD was eating her cereal like a champ for a month. I started introducing veggies first (carrots) and at first she gagged but then ate them. i tried zucchini after that and that was a hit. Then I went to butternut squash, and we have hit a wall. We struggled to get even the cereal down! I figured I would try apples today, and that was a no go.
It has been SO frustrating, especially since she used to love her cereal. So, now, we are moving backwards and dropping down to mostly cereal, but I am still going to try to introduce the fruits.
