Apparently my mommy instincts have set in.
Every, single night I am up now at 1am and again at 5am. EVERY SINGLE NIGHT! I don't even have to pee or anything! Just sitting up straight, wide awake in bed. I read that your body will begin doing that in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters to prepare for waking up with the baby. I wonder how much validity there is in that, but it makes senses. Survival of the fittest

Yea this is the story of my life these past weeks. I am up and cannot sleep most of the night. I believe its the same thing, our bodies preparing us! Still, its SOO annoying!

It is true at least for me it was with my son. I woke up and those are the times he woke up after he was born

Yes, that's starting to happen to me too. It happened to me when I had my first and I must say it did help me when he got up in the middle of the night. Definitely is your body preparing you for those wonderful nights to come

Re: Apparently my mommy instincts have set in.
Like clockwork, every night at 3am I woke up. My water broke at 3am. When Joseph was born he woke up at 3am.
With Madeline, I woke up at 4am. She woke up anytime between 3-4am.
Sounds like you're ready to me!

Yeah, its that darn pregnancy insomnia. My mom told me all it really is is the elevated amount of hormones in your body. Whatever, I would love some sleep!!

Re: Apparently my mommy instincts have set in.
That didn't happen to me. I was sleeping 8-10 hours a night right up until I gave birth and I was definitely not prepared for those sleepless nights.
