I am a mommy!
Christopher Louis Jr. was born on 10/7/06 at 9:06 AM. He weighed 7lbs 12 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. We are so in love!
I will try to post all the details, birth story and pics later today but I just had my first quick question.
My son is a little jaundice. The doctor just said to put him in the sunlight (in the house) during the day. I forgot to ask for how long at one time. I know she said every two hours. But for how long at one time? TIA

I am not sure about the sunlight.
I think I would double check witht the doctor - cause every baby might be different

hi jessie! congrats! Samantha was a little little jandice too - our ped told us a 1/2 hr or so in the sun in the morning - we actually forgot and never did it (bad mommy and daddy!) but she wound up being fine...so can't help much - I think the more they eat, the better they can get too!!
can't wait to hear all about - it was worth the wait no???

Emma was jaundice as well and our DR told us to put her in the direct sun around sunset so it wasn't so hot. Only that week was the hottest week of the summer so we really only did it for about 10 minutes one day. I felt like a nutty mom because people saw me with this 3 day old baby directly in the sun.....I wanted to announce that the DR told us too. OH CONGRATS too!

CONGRATS!! Love the name. My son was also jaundice. I would feed him is bottle in the sunlight--so I guess about 10 minutes a day.

Congrats-
Open your blinds and sit by the window- Sunlight is great for jaundice babies- so get all you can get-
Also- the more the eat- the more they poop- and the faster the jaudice goes away-
