Apple(Ipad, Iphone) people, please help
So I had an old Ipod that had hundreds of songs most importantly continuing education lectures I listed to regularly till some little azzwipe decided to steal it out of my car. I NEVER go on Itunes, hadn't added anything new in over a year. My DH has an ipad & iphone and truly cannnot use either of them, he has a tech IQ of zero but insists on having every piece of technology known to man. So he has been using my Itunes account for about a year & buying apps, books and whatever. He was compaining he couldn't get his iphone to sync with itunes in my laptop.
well now I got a new ipad for my birthday & I was really considering returning it or regifting it but I figured at least I could use it to replece my ipod & have my music etc.
So I go to itunes today, log in the way I always do and its like I have a brand new account. It registers my ipad but my entire collection of playlists is gone, I had about 20.
Does anyone know what the problem might be? I'm so frustrated right now. There's no way I'm going to repurchase all of that music & some of the lectures that I really want aren't even available anymore.

Hi!
I'll try to help you. Sorry someone stole your iPod.. :( that's why it's so important to sync your phone to itunes as much as possible.. b/c if and when you no longer have that device, you still have all of your data that you can easily upload to a new device.
so you have stuff on your itunes (playlists, apps, etc.) but you weren't able to sync it to your iPad?
plug the device in and on the left hand side under device, click on the ipad link and you'll see the summary page pop up, click on the tab that says apps and make sure that box is checked as well as for music and anything else you want to sync from your itunes account to your iPad.
let me know if that works!

is it possible that when your DH hooked his devices up to your itunes, that he inadvertently wiped your original playlists/songs/files you had on there? Is it just your playlists that are gone, or is it the original files themselves?
Itunes stores the original files in a separate folder outside of the applications itself, so you should still have all the original files of those lectures stored on your laptop (or wherever you have your itunes)
If you do a search for 'itunes music' folder, you may find your original files stored there
