Applying Cement - Anyone ever work with cement?
While I was ripping up tiles that were attached to my cement slab... I noticed that one spot the cememt was previously ripped up to extend a heating pipe to my kitchen.
When I pulled up the tile... part of that cement came up so now the floor isn't level. I need to level it out so we can lay down new flooring.
Anyone ever work with cement? Is it easy to work with? Similar to Spackle? Or is it best to bring someone in that knows what they are doing?

there is the cement...that is self leveling. i can ask my husband tonight what he used. He had to use it in our laundry room, to fix the floor, before we put in our tile floor. It was easy to do...much easier than regular cement.
I will let ya know.

It is pretty easy. I had to fix the lip of my driveway over the summer. I got a 40 pd bag for about $5.00 at home depot. Directions are acually on the back of the bag. I just added water and mixed it with an old piece of wood. It is a little thicker than spackle but it applies just the same.
